יום הזיכרון ויום העצמאות

  • בערב יום הזיכרון ביום ראשון בערב בין מנחה למעריב תתקים תפילת אל מלא רחמים וגם שיחה על חללי שיירת הל"ה, ע״י מנחם זר-כבוד.
  • בערב יום העצמאות ביום שני בערב בין מנחה למעריב יהיה שיעור על החג ע״י הרב שלמה וילק. תפילת מעריב חגיגית ע״י מאיר פכלר, עם מוסיקה ע״י שמעון קאהן.
  • בבוקר של יום העצמאות יהיו שני מנינים כרגיל ב-6:00 ו-7:30, עם קידוש חגיגי אחרי שניהם.
  • On Sunday evening, Erev Yom HaZikaron, there will be a special El Moleh Rahamim in memory of our fallen soldiers and also a discussion led by Menachem Zer-Cavod in memory of the tragedy of the massacre of the Gush Etzion convoy of 35 in 1948.
  • On Monday evening, Erev Yom HaAtzmaut, between mincha and ma'ariv, there will be a special class taught by Rabbi Shlomo Vilk. A festive ma'ariv will be led by Meir Fachler, with musical accompaniment by Howie Kahn.
  • On the morning of Yom HaAtzmaut, after each of the regular minyanim, there will be a festive kiddush in honor of the holiday.

  • The shiur between mincha and ma'ariv on shabbat will be given by Professor Mordechai Noam Penkower on the subject of his new book "Palestine in Turmoil: The Struggle for Sovereignty, 1933–1939".
  • Between mincha and ma'ariv on Sunday evening, there will be a Yom HaZikaron discussion in memory of the tragedy of the massacre of the Gush Etzion convoy of 35 in 1948.
  • Mazal tov to Ruthie Rackovsky on the birth of her new great-grandson.
  • Mazal tov to Nissan and Carol Brenner on the birth of their granddaughter.

בשל חשד לזיהום מים בשכונות: בקעה, אבו טור, תלפיות, צור באחר, סילוואן, ראס אל עמוד, עיר העתיקה, ממילא, ומורשה, אין להשתמש במים לשתייה, צחצוח שיניים, טיפול במזון אלא לאחר הרתחה של 2 דקות לפחות.

שימו לב: נקודות חלוקת מים:

  • רחוב אלבק – פינת כספי מספר 1
  • רחוב נעומי, פינת טיילת שרובר
  • אבו טור, ליד בית הישן, אחמד סמח

תאגיד הגיחון עם משרד הבריאות בודקים את איכות המים. כל האמור לעיל נכון עד להודעה חדשה. הודעות תימסרנה.

 A Message from the Gihon Jerusalem Water Company  Regarding Water Supply Problem

Due to suspected water pollution in the following neighborhoods — Baka'a, Abu Tor, Talpiot, Zur Baher' Silwan, Ras al Amud, the Old City, Mamilla , and Morasha — you should not use tap water to drink, brush teeth, or treat food — except after boiling it for at least 2 minutes.

The following are water distribution points:

  • Albeck Street, corner of 1 Caspi
  • Naomi Street, at the corner of the Sherover Promenade
  • Abu Tor, next to the old Achmed Semah house

The Gihon Water Company and the Ministry of Health are monitoring the water quality. The above rules are in effect until further notice. Notices will be given.
