אימה של חברתינו היקרה, סוזן פריימן.

 

הלוויה התקיימה בארה"ב ביום שלישי, ח"י באייר (ל"ג בעומר) 5/5.

סוזן תשב שבעה תחילה בניו-יורק, ותשוב ארצה בבוקר יום חמישי להשלמת השבעה.

ביקורי ניחומין בבית משפחת פריימן – רחוב שמשון 2, פינת דרך בית לחם, קומת קרקע:
ביום חמישי    –  21:30-16:00;
ביום ששי       –  13:00-09:00;
במוצאי שבת  –  22:00-20:30;
ביום ראשון    –  13:00-9:00 ו-21:30-16:00.

ימים חמישי וראשון – מנחה וערבית בשעה 19:15.

We are saddened to announce the death of

Esther Gittel Nashman a"h

mother of our dear friend, Susan Nashman Fraiman.

The funeral took place in New York on Tuesday May 5th.

Susan will begin sitting shiv'a in New York, and will return on Thursday morning for its remainder.

Condolence visits will be welcome in the Fraiman home – 2 Shimshon Street, corner of Derech Beit Lechem, ground floor:
Thursday  –  4:00 to 9:30 pm;
Friday       –  9:00 am to 1:00 pm;
Motza’ei Shabbat – 8:30 to 10:00 pm;
Sunday     –  9:00 am to 1:00 pm and 4:00 to 9:30 pm.

Minyanim at the shiv’a home:
Thursday and Sunday – Mincha-Arvit at 7:15 pm.

יום ירושלים

כמנהגנו, נחגוג את יום ירושלים בסעודה שלישית בשבת במדבר, כ"ט באייר 16/5, וגם בסיור כמפורט להלן.

ביום רביעי, כ"ו באייר 13/5, ניפגש בשעה 16:00 במפגש מסילת הרכבת עם דרך בית לחם, מצוידים בכובעים ומים. משם, תמר הירדני הנפלאה תוביל אותנו בסיור היכרות עם תולדותיה המרתקים של שכונתנו בקעה עד השעה 20:00.

המעוניינים להשתתף בסיור מתבקשים להירשם אצל מוטי קהת 054-487-2292 או mkehat@gmail.com – וכן גם להעביר תשלום ₪80 למשתתף. את זאת ניתן לבצע בהעברה בנקאית לחשבון בית הכנסת תוך ציון סיבת התשלום "עבור הסיור", או בתשלום מקוון בכרטיס אשראי כאן.

Yom Yerushalayim

As is our tradition, we’ll celebrate Yom Yerushalayim with se'uda shelishit on Shabbat, May 16th, as well as with a walking tour as follows.

On Wednesday, May 13th, at 4:00pm, we shall meet at the railroad crossing on Derech Beit Lechem, equipped with hats and water. From there, the fabulous Tamar Hayardeni will guide us through our neighborhood Bak'a, and acquaint us with its fascinating history, with simultaneous translation, until 8pm.

Those interested in participating are requested to sign up with Mordy Kehat — 054-487-2292 or mkehat@gmail.com — and to transfer ₪80 per participant to the shul's account – either by bank transfer indicating its purpose "for the tour", or by online credit card payment here.

  • A heartfelt shehecheyanu to our dear friend, Monty Penkower, upon his return to the shatz's shtendel on Yom Ha'atzmaut morning, and to the gabbaut of the daily 7:45 am shacharit minyan. And on this occasion – we thank Ben Lipschitz very much for having stepped in as gabbai of the minyan in Monty's absence.
  • This Shabat, Rav Vilk's daf yomi shiur will not take place, and Rav Tzachi Lehman will give the shiur between mincha and arvit: "Ve'ahavta lereiacha kamocha – the world of the Maharal of Prague."

Shabbat Rosh Ḥodesh – Tazria-Metzora

  • There will be kiddush on Shabbat after the 9:00am minyan, sponsored by Hedy and Ben Lipschitz and family to mark the 39th Yahrzeit of Ben’s father, Judah Leib (Jerry) Lipschitz ז״ל.
  • Mazal tov to Marsha Roth upon the marriage of her grandson Uriel, son of Daniel and Leora Roth, to Tal Sandak, daughter of Yael and Shemer Sandak of Modiin.
  • Mazal tov to Rebeca and Steve Zerobnick on the bat mitzvah of their granddaughter Halleli, daughter of Shirel and Assaf Shmuel of Efrat. Mazal tov also to grandparents Hagit and Yuval Shmuel from Efrat and to all the family.
  • Mazal tov to Chaya and Tuvya Klughaupt on the birth of a granddaughter to Tzvi and Noa Klughaupt.
  • We wish a refuah shelema to Menahem Zer Kavod, following his orthopedic surgery this week.
  • Rav Vilk will teach his shiur daf yomi at 6:30am on Shabbat and his shiur between mincha and maariv.
  • Yom Haatzmaut: On Tuesday, April 21, at 7:40pm there will be a festive maariv service led by Meir Fachler, and accompanied by Howie Kahn. Shacharit on Thursday will be as usual at 6:00am and 7:45am, with light refreshments following each minyan.
