 Announcements

• Mazal tov to Hodaya and the entire Hoenel family on Hodaya’s bat mitzvah this Shabbat. The kehilla is invited to kiddush after the second minyan.
• Mazal Tov to Nina (Medved) and Yoni Tokayer on the birth of a baby boy, and to grandparents Jane and Jonathan Medved, and Mindy and Avi Tokayer.
• Plan to host a special occasion for which you have more guests than you have sleeping facilities? Are you willing to open your home to help out families who may need an extra bed for the night? The Hesed Committee is offering a new service. See details here.
• Rav Vilk will give his usual shiurim this Shabbat: daf yomi at 6:30AM, and his shiur between minḥah and maariv.
• The women’s tehillim group will meet on Shabbat at 4:30PM. Pearl Borow and Mimi Dickman will speak.
• There will be a women's megillah reading again this year (by women, for only women) on Shushan Purim morning, Wednesday, March 4, at the shul. Details to come.

• Rolinda and Rabbi Joe Schonwald and Tamara and Simcha Edell invite the Kehilla to a Melaveh Malka in honor of the first yahrtzeit of their beloved mother, Irma Rochlin – an evening of music and inspiration featuring Yehuda Katz and HaMa'agal band – this Saturday night, February 7, 8:00-9:45 PM, in the shul.

• ראו כאן דברי תודה והערכה של הרב וילק למייקל גיליס, בקידוש שנערך לכבודו בשבת פרשת בא, לאחר עשר שנות חברותו של מייקל בוועד, מתוכן חמש שנים כיו"ר. הרב מסר למייקל מתנה בשם הקהילה – סט ספרי מדרש תנחומא. הקהילה כולה מאחלת הצלחה רבה לאלכס פומסון בתפקידו כיו"ר הוועד החדש.

• See here Rav Vilk’s remarks of gratitude and appreciation to Michael Gillis, at the kiddish in his honor on Shabbat Bo, for his ten years' service to Kehillat Yael as a Vaad member, and five as Rosh Hava’ad. Rav Vilk presented Michael with the kehilla’s gift – a set of Midrash Tanhuma. The entire kehilla wishes Alex Pomson success, upon his assuming the position of Rosh Hava’ad.
