• ארוחות שבת לחיילים בודדים: קיימים לא רחוק מאתנו שני בתי חיילים בודדים — אחד לחיילים ואחד לחיילות — הנתמכים ע״י המרכז לסיוע לחיילים בודדים. כל שבת בית כנסת אחר בשכונה עוזר עם ארוחות שבת. נוכל לבחור שבת מתאימה לנו. מגיעה תמיכתנו לחיילים האלה. בואו נצטרך לשישה בתי כנסת האחרים. מחפשׂים רכז/ת. נא להתקשר לסוזן סינגר 050-303-4704.
• ערב ״שאל את הרב״ היה הצלחה גדולה. מעל 40 אנשים השתתפו. תודה מיוחדת לרב שלמה וילק, גם למתיו קלמן (מַנחה), דוד וודלר (רעיון) וסיל ודוד אוליבסטון (אירוח). אפשר לשמוע הקלטה פה.

• • Wishing a רפואה שלמה to Diane Rosenschein (דִּינָה רִבְקָה בת מִרְיָם מַאשֶה ואַהַרֹן גְּלַסְמַן) who is recovering from successful surgery on Wednesday to remove a benign brain tumor.
  • SHABBAT MEALS NEEDED FOR LONE SOLDIERS. Lone IDF Soldiers now live near us in two homes — one for girls, one for boys — prepared for them by the Lone Soldier Center. Each shabbat a different shul in the neighborhood brings them food for their meals. We can choose our Shabbat. These young soldiers have earned our gratitude. Let's join the other 6 shuls. We extend our condolences to Bezalel Jacobowitz upon the passing of his father

Rabbi Dr. Jason Jacobowitz

husband of Ruth, father of David, Avi, Bezalel and Yitzy,
also grandfather and great-grandfather.

The funeral will take place Tuesday Feb 6th in Israel at Eretz Hachaim Cemetery in Har Tuv (near Bet Shemesh) at 2:30pm.

The family will sit shiva on Tuesday and Wednesday at Bezalel's home

שבתון 17-18 מאי 2019

• חברים יקרים,
  הקדמנו והזמנו שבתון באכסניית האבירים בעכּו. ההזמנה כוללת 32 חדרים והמחיר לזוג הוא 918₪. האכסניה ידועה כאיכותית.
  מאחר שלשבתון בכפר עציון נרשמו עוד תשע משפחות שאיננו יכולים לצערנו לקבלם כי לא נותרו חדרים פנויים, אני מבקש להרשם כבר עכשיו כדי שאולי נוכל להגדיל את ההזמנה אם ירשמו מעל ל- 32 משפחות. יש ביקוש רב לחדרים באכסניות כך שיש להזמין שנה וחצי מראש.
  כידוע אין זו הזמנה מחייבת ואישורה הסופי יהיה שלושה חדשים לפני המועד, ובמקרים של בעיות, נוכל לבטל גם מאוחר יותר.

  We reserved space early, 32 rooms, at the Acco Knights Hostel; price per couple is ₪918. The hostel is known for its high-quality accommodations.
  Since we were oversubscribed for Kfar Etzion, I request that you sign up early so that we can expand the group if we get more than 32 families. It is a popular location, which is the reason we ordered the space so far in advance.
  Signup is non-binding, i.e. final confirmation will be three months prior to the event. In special cases, we can cancel even later.
