יוצג סרט לכבוד ג׳ק קגן ז״ל, אביו של מיכאל קגן: ״מנהרת התקוה״ (80 דקות), במאי: דרור שוורץ, מפיק: מיכאל קגן. הסרט יוקרן ביום ה׳ הקרוב, 9 לפברואר, ב-20:00, בבנין מפעל הפיס, רחוב נחום שמדי 4, תלפיות (מפה). יהיו שאלות ותשובות עם מיכאל לאחר הצגת הסרט.

הסרט מציג את סיפור הבריחה ע״י 230 יהודים ממחנה נוֹבוֹגרוּדוֹק בליל 26 לספטמבר 1943, אחת מבריחות הגדולות של מלחהע"ש. ג׳ק קגן היה מאחרוני הבורחים.

There will be an evening in tribute to Jack Kagan ז״ל (Michael Kagan’s father) with the screening of the film: Tunnel of Hope (80min), a documentary film directed by Dror Shwartz & co-produced by Michael Kagan, on Thursday, February 9, at 8:00pm, at Mifal haPayis Building, 4 Nahum Shamdi, Talpiot, corner of Efrata & Giladi (map). There will be Q&A with Michael after the screening.

Tunnel of Hope is the untold story of the escape by 230 Jewish slave workers from the Novogrudok work camp on the night of September 26th 1943. It is one of the greatest escapes that took place during WWII. Jack was one of the last out.

הענקת סכום (מוגבל), במקרה חד פעמי, לתושבי ירושלים המוכרים לחבר/ה בקהילה ומומלצים על ידו/ה.

Keren Tzedakah

For the past several years, the shul's Keren Tzedakah has been very active, but predominantly answering the needs of people referred to us from outside our community. At this time, we would like to shift the focus and return to our original mission statement: To grant emergency, one-time aid (a limited grant) to Jerusalem residents who are known to and recommended by a member of the kehila.

In this spirit, we are reaching out to our kehila to remind everyone that this fund exists, both if you are looking to contribute and/or if you know anyone we might help.

Yehuda Harel

The funeral will be Sunday, January 22 at 3:30 p.m.
at the Sha'ar Hesed / Yarkon Cemetery.

Dina will sit shiva at the Harel family home in Tel Aviv, Rehov Frishman 71 —
and on Thursday and Friday at her home at 22 Shimshon St, Apt. 9.
