לכבוד יום ירושלים

  • בשבת ב-18.55 ,לאחר תפילת מנחה, תתקיים הסעודה השלישית המסורתית לכבוד יום ירושלים בהשתתפות פרופ׳ אוריאל בכרך איש ההגנה וממקימי חיל המדע.
  • לאחר מכן תתקיים תפילת ערבית חגיגית לכבוד יום ירושלים.
  • נתחיל בשני מזמורים, מזמור קכ"ב: "…עומדות היו רגלינו בשעריך ירושלים…" ומזמור מ"ח "…גדול ה' ומהולל מאד, בעיר אלוקינו, הר קדשו…".
  • לאחר מכן ארבעה בתים מ"לכה דודי" המדברים על ירושלים: מקדש מלך" התעוררי" לא תבשי" וימין ושמאל".
  • לאחר מכן – תפילת ערבית של מוצ"ש והסיום לפי תפילת יום העצמאות.

In Hono(u)r of Yom Yerushalayim

  • On shabbat afternoon at 6:55pm, we will celebrate our annual Yom Yerushalayim seuda shlishit, with a talk by Professor Uriel Bachrach, who served in the Haganah and later helped created ZAHAL's Scientific Corps. 
  • Afterwards, there will be a festive ma'ariv.
  • Two Psalms concerning Jerusalem: Psalm 122 — “A Song of Ascents by David. I was happy when they said to me, ‘Let us go to the house of the Lord.’ ” and Psalm 48— “The Lord is great and worthy of much praise in the city of our God, at His holy mountain.”
  • Four stanzas from Lecha Dodi that speak of Jerusalem: Mikdash Melech; Hitoreri; Lo Tevoshi; and Yamin U-semol. (See page 315 of the Koren Chumash, but add Mikdash Melech.)
  • Following Ma’ariv: After Vi-hi No’am and Ve-ata Kadosh, we will continue with the same tefillot said on Yom haAtzma’ut to be found on page 315 of the Koren Chumash.

לקראת יום ירושלים התשע"ו

סיור ירושלמי קהילתי לכבוד יום ירושלים – כבר הפך ענין שבשגרה,
והפעם – נשוב לאחור כשלושת אלפים שנה, אל ירושלים של ימי התנ"ך.

נפגוש 'חומה ומגדל', נפגוש את האנשים הפשוטים שעשׂו את ההיסטוריה, את הכתב העברי הקדום ונערוך היכרות עם ערכים וחלומות שנתהוו על גבעת הרובע היהודי בימים עברו
ושמלווים את עמנו עד ימינו אלה.

נפגש ביום חמישי 2.6.2016 ב – 17:30 בשער יפו
לביקור במרכז לתולדות ירושלים בימי התנ"ך,
כולל החיזיון האור-קולי,בחומה הרחבה ובמגדל הישראלי.

סיום ב – 20:00.

Our shul’s tour in Jerusalem in honor of Yom Yerushalayim has now become now an established event. This time, we will go back back some three thousand years, to the Jerusalem of biblical times.

We'll become familiar with the “tower and stockade” concept; we will meet the ordinary people who made history . . . the ancient Hebrew script . . . and we will get to know the values and the dreams that were inspired by the Jewish Quarter in days gone by, and that still accompany us to this day.

We will meet on Thursday, June 2, 2016, at 5:30 pm at the Jaffa Gate, to visit the epicenter of the history of Jerusalem in biblical times, including an audiovisual presentation about the Broad Wall and the Israelite Tower.

The tour will end at 8:00 pm.

On Shabbat Parshat Bemidbar, at 6:55 pm following Mincha, will be our traditional se’udah shlishit in honor of Yom Yerushalayim, with the participation of Professor Uriel Bachrach, a member of the Haganah and and a founder of the Scientific Corps of Tzahal. Afterwards there will be a festive Arvit service with musical accompaniment, in honor of Yom Yerushalayim.
