השבת יֵעָרֵךְ קידוש לכבוד חברינו קְלֶר ומישל רבל בהגיעם לגיל גבורות, ושיזכו לאורך ימים ושנים ברוב בריאות ונחת. "עוד ינובון בשׂיבה דשנים ורעננים יהיו".
מזל טוב כפול למיכאל ורות קגן: (1) לרגל הולדת נכדה, בת ליהודית ואיתי קגן, (2) ולרגל בר מצוה של נכדם מלאכי, בן לאיתמר ותהילה קגן.
חוברות בית הכנסת לא יחולקו השבת אלא אי״ה בשבת הבאה פרשת כי תצא 25/8/18.

- - This shabbat there will be a kiddush for Claire and Michel Revel in honor of their reaching 80. May they enjoy many more years of good health and nachat.
  - A double mazal tov to Michael and Ruth Kagan (1) on the birth of a granddaughter, born to Yehudit and Itai Kagan, and (2) on the bar mitzvah of their grandson Malachi, son of Itamar and Tehila Kagan.
  - Shul directories will not be handed out this shabbat — rather next shabbat, Parashat Ki Teitzei, Aug 25.
  - Please see the notice on High Holiday seats — now with an online form.
  - Just as we gave Kimcha d'Pischa to needy families on Passover — via local social welfare departments and also battered women's shelters — we want to contribute food coupons, to strengthen and encourage them before the High Holidays. Each needy family will receive ₪200-₪300, based on family size. We are starting early so that tzedakah can be distributed two weeks before the New Year. Write checks to "Beit Knesset Emek Refaim – High Holiday Contributions". Please give generously, as it is written "God will reward those who give tzedakah to the poor."
