    • A hearty mazal tov to Dena and Leslie Brueckheimer on reaching their Diamond Anniversary (60). They are traveling to Zichron Yaakov to celebrate the pidyon ha-ben of their new great-grandson. This is the first pidyon ha-ben in the Brueckheimer family since Lassar's own, in Germany, 92 years ago!
    • Mazal tov to Baila Brown on the birth of a granddaughter, Mia, born to parents Annael and Josh Brown.
    • Mazal tov to Rabbi Aaron and Pearl Borow on the engagement of their grandson, Yonatan Borow, son of Rabbi Yaakov and Malke Borow of Nof Ayalon to Liraz Vahav, of Rosh Haayin.
    • The special Mosbach Parochet (1899) has been hung for the entire period of the Three Weeks.

הכנסת אורחים מוַיוֹמִינְג – שבת הקרובה

לכבוד חבריי קהילת עמק רפאים,

​התבקשנו לארח קבוצת סטודנטים מבוגרים ​לארוחת ערב שבת אחרי מנין השני עם ​חברי בית כנסת עמק רפאים.

​זקוקים ​ל-​3 או 4 משפחות לארח קבוצה של סטודנטים ממדינת Wyoming שבארה"ב. 8 מתוך הקבוצה הם נוצרים. 1 הסטודנטים היא יהודיה והפרופסור שמביא אותם לארץ (הוא מביא קבוצה כל שנה!) גם יהודי. ​לפרטים על התוכנית אפשר לקרוא בקישור: ​ uwyo.edu/sward/2017/summer

נחלק אותם ל 2 או 3 אנשים בכל בית. ​האורחים יבואו לבית הכנסת וילכו הביתה אם המארחים.​

Dear Members of the Emek Refai'im Community,

We have been asked to host a group of 10 visit​ing students from the University of Wyoming (yes, Wyoming!)​ for Erev Shabbat dinner (after 2nd minyan) in our homes​. Th​is is a group of 8 Christian students, 1 Jewish student and their Jewish professor. Here is ​a link with information about the group​ and their program​:uwyo.edu/sward/2017/summer

I apologize for the short notice (we're looking for hosts for this Friday night, second minyan, Parshat Balak, 7 July). The guests will come to shul and then go home with their hosts.

They will come in groups of 2 – 3.
