שיעור באנגלית בשבת ניצבים

Ladies –

The weather is changing (sort of), the cook books are coming off the shelves, and the lines at the supermarket are growing longer. It must be almost Tishrai. I looked at the calendar and decided that we can't go into Rosh Hashana with only recipes and shopping lists in our heads (o.k. – I'm talking about me here), so, announcing the just-in-time-you-probably-thought-we-weren't-going-to-have-one-shiur-for-rosh-hashana.

WHEN – This coming Shabbat – Sept. 15 – Parashat "Nitzavim"ת 5:00 in the afternoon

WHERE – Jane's house, Rehov Zerubavel #6, Baka

WHO – Pearl Borow

Do I need to introduce Pearl? The one lady I could turn to on erev chag to pull a shiur out of her pocket. Pearl teaches at the OU Israel Center, Emmunah Women, Tovai Ha'ir, and the Yael St. Shul's Women's Beit Midrash – which she helped to establish. Her specialty is Tanach, with an emphasis on "Nach" (niviim and ketuvim). You haven't really read these sources until Pearl shares them with you.

WHAT – "WHAT TO WEAR FOR ROSH HASHANA – LIFE LESSONS FROM THE HAFTORAH" – In English

WHY – see above.

Anyone interested in bringing nuts, chocolate of any kind, fruit, or other – zap me back.

See you on Shabbat –

Jane Medved
