בית כנסת עמק רפאים

במסגרת אימוץ של ביהכ״נ את קהילת המפונים משׂדרות שמתגוררים במלון קיסר, התגבש רעיון יפה לאירוח ובישול משותף בבתי חברי הקהילה בקבוצות של בין 4 – 10 איש בכל בית.

• המפגש יתרחש במטבח בבית המארחים בבישול משותף ולאחר מכן בארוחה משותפת.
• הבישול יהיה בעיקר של המפונים שיבנו תפריט – יתנו רשימת קניות כאשר המארחים יקנו את המצרכים.
• האורחים, המתגעגעים לבישול במטבח ביתי אחרי חודשיים וחצי בבית מלון, יגיעו לבשל ולאחר מכן ישבו לאכול יחד עם המארחים.
• מתאים לכם לארח בביתכם במהלך חג החנוכה?
• מוזמנים להירשם בטבלה כאן. הפרטים של האורחים ורשימת המצרכים לבישול יירשמו על יד הרכזת במלון קיסר.
• שתי הערות חשובות:
  • חשוב שהמשפחה המארחת אמורה תוכל לתקשר עם האורחים בעברית.
  • יתכן מאוד שמספר המתארחים (המפונים) יהיה קטן. מתנצלים מראש לכל מקרה – בו האירוח לא יצא אל הפועל.

Latkes – Sufagniot – Sfenj – Cooking together on Hanukkah with Evacuees from Sderot

One initative resulting from the adoption by our community of the Sederot evacuees living in the Caesar Hotel is to hold an evening of Hanukkah cooking and hospitality in our homes with between 4 and 10 guests in each home.

• The gathering will begin in the kitchen followed by a shared meal.
• Most of the food-preparation will be undertaken by the guests, who will prepare a menu. They will send a list of ingredients, which the host will buy in advance.
• The guests, who after two-and-a-half months in the hotel cannot wait to cook in a home kitchen, will prepare the food and then join the hosts to eat together.
• If you would like to host a group, please register using the table here – details of the guests and ingredients will be filled by the coordinator at the Caesar Hotel.
• Two important points:
•    It is important that the hosts be able to communicate in Hebrew with their guests.
•    It is possible that there will be fewer guests than volunteer homes. We apologize in advance.

• תהילים: בשבת זו, בבית המדרש בשעה 16:00 בדיוק יתקיימו לימוד ואמירת תהילים לנשים. פרל בורו ונינה מדווד טוקייר ידברו ולאחר מכן אמירת תהילים לחזרתם בשלום של חיילינו, הפצועים והשבויים.

• קהילתנו ממשיכה לתמוך במפונים המתגוררים במלון קיסר.
  • יש כמה מקרים שאב המשפחה משרת במילואים. האמהות זקוקות לעזרת מטפלות עבור ילדים עד גיל 8 לשש שעות בשבוע. וועדת קרן הצדקה של הקהילה הסכימה לסבסד במידה רבה את שכרן של המטפלות. חוה סקליר הצליחה לגייס 5 מטפלות מצוינות והשבוע הפרויקט יצא לדרך.
  • בשבת שעברה תרם מוטי שור בקבוק יין מהיקב שלו, יקב היוצר, לכל המשפחות במלון לכבוד שבת.
• דיור עבור בנות שירות לאומי: נא ראו הודעה חשובה פה.
• ביטחון: בשבתות יהיו חברים חמושים בכל התפילות. כל חבר הנושא נשק ברישיון מתבקש להגיע עם נשק לבית הכנסת. בבקשה אנא הימנעו מהתקהלות בחצר הקדמית.
• בקשה לשמירה על בריאות הציבור: מתפללים ומתפללות שנמצאו חיוביים לקורונה מתבקשים לא להגיע לבית הכנסת. אלה שיש להם סימפטומים כגון שיעול מתבקשים לחבוש מסכות.
• ראו עמוד זמני תפילה: הדלקת נרות שבת: 16:00; הבדלה: 17:14.

• Rav Vilk’s shiurim will take place this Shabbat.
• Women’s Tehillim and learning will continue this Shabbat in the Beit Hamidrash promptly at 4pm. Pearl Borow and Nina Medved Tokayer will speak, followed by the recitation of tehillim for the safe return of our soldiers, the captives, and all who have been injured.
• Our community continues to offer support to the evacuees in the Caesar Hotel.
•    There are a number of families where the fathers are serving in the army. The mothers need extra child-care for 6 hours a week for children under 8. Our Tzedakah fund agreed to provide a substantial subsidy. Hava Sklare succeeded in recruiting five excellent caregivers and the project is now underway.
•    Last Shabbat Moti Shor donated a bottle of wine from his Hayotzer Winery to each of the families at the hotel.
• Security: On Shabbat there will be armed members at all services. In addition, members licensed to carry a weapon are asked to come armed to Beit Knesset. Please do not gather in the front courtyard.
• Housing women serving in the National Service: please see the important announcement here.
• COVID: to protect the health of the community those who have tested positive for COVID are asked to not attend beit knesset. Those with symptoms such as a cough are asked to wear a mask.

• עקב המלחמה, מועד אסיפה הכללית של העמותה נדחית, אבל נקיים אסיפה וירטואלית דרך זוּם במוצאי שבת מקץ (16.12) בשעה 19:00. האסיפה תעסוק בנושׂא אחד בלבד: אישור דו״חות לרשם העמותות.
• קישור זום יישלח קרוב למועד האסיפה.
• דו״ח הכספי לשנת 2022 כאן.
• נקיים אסיפה נוספת אי״ה באמצע חודש ינואר בה נבחר וועד חדש וּנקיים דיון כללי של החברים.
• לכל חבר קהילה פעיל עם וותק של שנתיים קיימת הזכות לבקש מהוועד להצטרף לעמותה.

General Meeting of the Amuta

• Because of the war, the general meeting of the shul amuta is postponed. However, we will hold a brief virtual Zoom meeting of the amuta on motzaei Shabbat Miketz (16/12) at 7:00pm with only one item on the agenda — confirm the reports that need to be submitted to the Registrar by year-end.
• The Zoom link will be sent out closer to the date of the meeting.

• We will hold a second meeting of members in mid-January to elect a new Va’ad and to hold a general discussion.
• Any active member in good standing for two or more years can apply to the va'ad to become a member of the amuta.
