Reminder: See article by Avraham David marking 80th anniversary of Kristallnacht (Hebrew). This week, Chaya and Mordechay Sela and also Avraham and Chava David flew to Vienna to participate in the official ceremony marking 80 years since Kristallnacht. On the Nov. 9-10 1938, 1,550 synagogues in Germany and Austria were destroyed, 2,500 Jews were murdered, and another 30,000 sent to concentration camps, from which many never returned.
There will be an event at the Begin Center on the evening of Dec. 3, marking the publication of Avraham Benmelech's new novel "The Bastard's Mother", which describes the tragedy of women waiting for divorces and the agunot, in light of the methodology of our rabbinic courts.
