בית כנסת עמק רפאים מזמין את הציבור הרחב לחוויית לימוד ליל הושענא רבה, ברחוב יעל 4, בקעה. הלימוד יתקיים אי"ה בליל שלישי, כ' תשרי, 14.10.14 החל מהשעה 21:00.

בתוכנית:

• 21:00 – ד"ר חנה קהת, מרצה וחוקרת במדעי היהדות בנושא: "להתחיל מבראשית" – על האמונה והאמונות של פרק הבריאה
• 22:00 – הרב אהרון אדלר, רבה של קהילת אהל נחמה בנושא: "ובחג נידונים על המים"
• 23:00 – ד"ר ברני מרינבך, מגדולי נגני הכלייזמרים בנושא: "הניגון היהודי""- לימוד ייחודי בשילוב נגינה ושירה ובליווי האקורדיוניסט אהרון גניפל.ציבור המתפללים, נשים וגברים , מוזמן!

You are cordially invited to a special study experience on Hoshanah Raba, at 4 Yael Street, beginning at 9:00PM this Tuesday evening, October 14.

Program:

• 9PM – Dr. Chana Kehat, lecturer and researcher of Jewish Studies: "Beginning with Bereshit: on faith and the beliefs of the creation chapter".
• 10PM – Rabbi Aharon Adler, rabbi of Ohel Nehama: "On being judged on water on the holiday".
• 11PM – Dr. Bernie Merinbach, one of the greats in Klezmer music: "Jewish music", a special combination of playing and singing, accompanied by the renowned accordionist Aharon Ganipel.

All are invited — a light snack will be served.

לקרן צדקה של קהילתנו חסרים כספים לעזור לאנשים שעברו אסונות בזמן האחרון. אנא עזרו במה שאתם יכולים.

המחאות ניתן לכתוב לפקודת "בית הכנסת עמק רפאים" ולציין "עבור קרן צדקה". (אחרת הכסף מופנה לחשבון הרגיל של בית הכנסת). ניתן למסור את ההמחאות ליעקב בסטהוף או לשלוח אליו בדואר לרחוב ראובן 7 ירושלים 93510. המחאות אמריקאיות ניתן להעביר לבית הכנסת דרך PEF, אולם יש להודיע ליעקב שיש תרומה בדרך, ולרשום באופן ברור שהתרומה נועדה לקרן הצדקה של בית הכנסת עמק רפאים. לקבלת מידע נוסף ניתן לפנות ליעקב בסטהוף בטלפון 052-3859812.

Our Tzedakah Fund is running short of funds, due to the tremendous need in our community for help in coping with sudden losses or tragedies.  We ask you to make a contribution of whatever you can.

Checks can be made out to “Beit Knesset Emek Refaim” but should be clearly marked for the “TZEDAKAH FUND” (otherwise they go into a different account for the shul’s general expenses). Checks can be delivered or mailed to Ya’acov Besthoff, Rehov Reuvan #7, Jerusalem, 93510. American dollar checks or donations can be made to the shul through PEF – but please inform Ya’acov that they are en route and clearly indicate that they are for the “Tzedakah Fund – Beit Kenesset Emek Refaim”.

 

מקומות בבית הכנסת בימים הנוראים

חברים יקרים!

בהתקרב הימים הנוראים אנו נערכים לרישום המקומות בשיטה חדשה. הנכם מתבקשים למלא את הטופס שבתחתית העמוד ושרק לפיו יבנו גבאי המקומות את שיבוץ המתפללים במקומות.

כידוע חלק גדול מהמקומות בבית הכנסת רשומים על שם חברים קבועים. אנו נשתדל למצוא מקומות למתפללים נוספים על בסיס מקום פנוי. מקומות אלה הם לימי ראש השנה וליום כיפור ולא כוללים את שבת האזינו (שבת שובה). גם השנה יהיו שני מקומות תפילה: בבית הכנסת ובבית משפחת הרב וילק.

כל החברים מתבקשים למלא את הטופס, לרבות החברים שלא יהיו בבית הכנסת, כך שנוכל לדעת מראש אודות כל המקומות הפנויים. אנא החזירו את הטפסים לא יאוחר מיום י"א באלול תשע"ד 6.9.14 מוצ"ש פר' כי תצא. את הטופס יש לשלוח אל שמעון  קהן kinderkf@netvision.net.il. אפשר גם למלא את הטופס ידנית ולמסרו ליעקב בסטהוף או לשמעון קהן. למעונינים יחולקו טפסים בבית הכנסת.

התשלום נותר כבשנים הקודמות: 400₪ ליחיד; 800₪ לזוג: 1,200₪ למשפחה הכוללת זוג עם ילדים לא נשואים.

High Holiday Seats

Dear Members –

We’re instituting a new system in order to request seats for the High Holidays. Please fill out the form below. Only once it’s been submitted will your request for seats be addressed by the seating committee.

As you well know, a large number of the seats in shul are already assigned to members. We will try to accommodate additional requests on the basis of availability. These seats will be just for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. This does not include Shabbat Ha’azinu (Shabbat Shuvah). This year again there will be a “minyan” in the main shul as well as another one at the home of the Vilk family.

We request that all members fill out this form, including those who won’t be attending these Services. Thus we will know in advance about all open seats.

Please e-mail the forms no later than Motzai Shabbat Sept. 6, 2014 – 11th of Ellul 5774 to Howie Kahn at kinderkf@netvision.net.il. Hard copies will also be available in the shul, which can then be given to either Yaakov Besthof or Howie Kahn.

Prices remain the same as last year: 400 NIS for a single seat; 800 NIS for a couple; 1200 NIS for a family which includes a couple with unmarried children. Vaad Beit Knesset Emek Refaim.
