לאחר כמה שנים בהן נסענו מזרחה, לאתרים חמים, כשבירושלים קור אימים: למצדה,לבית שאן, לאלמוג ולעין גדי, הגיע גם הזמן לנסוע מערבה אל הים התיכון, אל נחשולים.
קבוץ נחשולים שוכן סמוך מאוד לגן הלאומי תל דור (חרבת אל בורג') עיר נמל פיניקית בת 5000 שנה. מיקומה של העיר ליד "דרך הים" הפך את דור למעצמה מסחרית. מראש התל יש תצפיות נהדרות על חוף הים, על מפרצים טבעיים יפהפיים וגם על שרידי מצודה.
במקום נמצאית גם "המזגגה" – מוזיאון לארכיאולוגיה ימית וסביבתית. עוגנים, כדי חרס,חלקי ספינות ותותחים מוצגים במוזיאון כעדות לעושר נדיר של ספינות טרופות הקבורות במצולות הים או במפרצים. כן גם נראה במוזיאון ונשמע על ייחודה וחשיבותה של דור בשל הידע הסודי להפקת צבעי התכלת והארגמן מחלזון ימי.
על פי התכנית נבקר ביום ששי במערכת התת קרקעית שסיפקה מים זכים לעיר קיסריה שהיתה בירת הארץ בתקופה הרומית. כן גם נבקר במקומות נוספים כפי שיאפשר הזמן. את הסיור המרתק, בשבת על התל, עורך ד"ר קורט רווה, תושב הקיבוץ, הסטוריון וארכיאולוג יבשתי ותת ימי שמנהל את המרכז לארכיאולוגיה תת ימית ושמצא 28 ספינות טבועות .
מחירים: לזוג – 990 ₪, לילד נוסף בחדר (2-12)- 330 ₪, למבוגר נוסף – 350 ₪. יחיד בחדר-850 ₪, דמי בטול-25%. בנוסף על כך ישלמו הנוסעים באוטובוס כ-120 ₪ גם עבור כניסה לאתר. הזמנו 31 חדרים בלבד ולכן נבקשכם להרשם מהרה לשבתון. למשך חודש אחד אושרה לנו אופציה לעוד עשרה חדרים וכל הקודם זוכה. Shabbaton in Nachsholim, Nov 6-7, 2015
After several years traveling eastward from wintry Jerusalem to the warmer climate of Metzada, Beit Shean, Almog, and Ein Gedi, the time has come to visit the Mediterranean coast — Nahsholim.
Kibbutz Nahsholim lies close to the National Park of Tel Dor (hurvat al-Burj), a 5,000 year old Phoenician settlement, its proximity to the ancient sea highway giving it great commercial power. From the top of the tel you can enjoy a fantastic view of the coast, natural ports, and the remains of a fortress.
There is also the Mazgega Museum of Marine and Environmental Archeology. Ancient anchors, pottery, cannon, and boat section lend witness to a rare treasure of shipwrecks buried at sea or the nearby harbors. At the museum, we will also learn about the secret skill of producing crimson and azure dyes from sea snails.
Our plan is to visit the subterranean waterworks that fed Caesaria, the provincial capital during the Roman period, and other sites as time permits. The shabbat afternoon tour of the tel will be guided by Dr. Kurt Raveh, kibbutz resident, historian, archeologist, and director of the marine archeology museum, who discovered no fewer than 28 sunken shipwrecks.
Prices: ₪990 per couple, ₪330 per extra child in room (aged 2-12), ₪350 per extra adult, ₪850 per single adult. 25% cancellation fee. An extra ₪120 will be charged to passengers in the bus, which includes entrance to the museum and site.
