​התבקשנו לארח קבוצת סטודנטים מבוגרים ​לארוחת ערב שבת אחרי מנין השני עם ​חברי בית כנסת עמק רפאים.

​זקוקים ​ל-​3 או 4 משפחות לארח קבוצה של סטודנטים ממדינת Wyoming שבארה"ב. 8 מתוך הקבוצה הם נוצרים. 1 הסטודנטים היא יהודיה והפרופסור שמביא אותם לארץ (הוא מביא קבוצה כל שנה!) גם יהודי. ​לפרטים על התוכנית אפשר לקרוא בקישור: ​ uwyo.edu/sward/2017/summer

Dear Members of the Emek Refai'im Community,

We have been asked to host a group of 10 visit​ing students from the University of Wyoming (yes, Wyoming!)​ for Erev Shabbat dinner (after 2nd minyan) in our homes​. Th​is is a group of 8 Christian students, 1 Jewish student and their Jewish professor. Here is ​a link with information about the group​ and their program​:uwyo.edu/sward/2017/summer

I apologize for the short notice (we're looking for hosts for this Friday night, second minyan, Parshat Balak, 7 July). The guests will come to shul and then go home with their hosts.

They will come in groups of 2 – 3.

לכל חברי הקהילה שלום,

וועד הורי הילדים חולי הסרטן בירושלים פונה לכל הקהילות בעיר בבקשה לסיוע במאבקם לפתרון המשבר החמור בהדסה.

ההורים נמצאים באוהל המחאה כבר שבועיים, ואין פתרון באופק. רבים וטובים מסייעים בתרומות, אוכל, פעילויות ועוד, ואנו פונים גם לחברי קהילת עמק רפאים בבקשה לתרום למאבק.

כידוע שתיים מחברות קהילתנו מעורבות מאד בפרשת הילדים חולי הסרטן בירושלים: פרופ' שושנה וילק וד"ר הדסה טרואן (קהן) ונראה כי שומה גם עלינו לתרום בנדיבות.

Shalom to all members of the community.

The Committee of Parents of Children with Cancer in Jerusalem is appealing to all the communities in the city requesting assistance in their struggle to solve the serious crisis at Hadassah Hospital.

The parents have been in the protest tent for two weeks now, with no solution in sight. Many generous people are helping with donations, food, activities, and more, and we also call on members of the Emek Refaim community to contribute to the struggle.

As you may know, two members of our community are very involved with the cancer patients in Jerusalem: Prof. Shoshana Wilk and Dr. Hadassah(Kahn) Troen, and we all share a responsibility to give generously.

These are the ways in which you can donate:

1. Transfer funds to Mizrahi Bank, branch no. 401, account number 390939, in the name of “The Children of Mickey”. Please mention next to your name that you are from the community of Emek Refaim.

2. Write a check to “הילדים של מיקי”, or donate cash, and give to Sasson Chacoty or Menachem Zer Kavod.

Members are urged to donate generously, as much as you are able. The contribution is recognized as a tax-deductible expense and each donor will receive a valid receipt.

Tizku l’mitzvot, with a prayer that we will not be touched by this.

אסיפה כללית של חברי בית כנסת עמק רפאים

במוצאי שבת פרשת "שלח לך", בכ"ג בסיון תשע"ז 17.6.2017 בשעה 20:45 ,לאחר תפילת ערבית, תתקיים האסיפה הכללית השנתית של העמותה. חשוב מאֹד שכל חברי הקהילה ישתתפו באסיפה.

סדר היום

1. בחירת יו"ר ומזכיר האסיפה.
2. סקירת פעולות השנה החולפת והדוח המילולי ע"י יו"ר הועד*.
3. דיון בנ"ל ואישור האסיפה.
4. הצגת דוח ועדת הביקורת ואישורו.
5. אישור רו"ח אַלֶן יריחובר לשנת 2016.
6. בחירת ועד חדש וועדת ביקורת**.
7. דיון על העברת ספר התורה דרך עזרת הנשים,לפני או אחרי הקריאה.
8. דיון כללי.
