במוצאי שבת פר' "שלח לך", בכ"ו בסיון תשע"ח 9.6.2018 בשעה 20:26 ,לאחר תפילת ערבית, תתקיים האסיפה הכללית השנתית של העמותה. חשוב מאד שכל חברי הקהילה ישתתפו באסיפה. ראו דו״ח כספי לשנת 2017.
סדר היום:
- בחירת יו"ר ומזכיר האסיפה.
- סקירת פעולות השנה החולפת והצגת המאזן והדוח המילולי ע"י יו"ר הועד*.
- דיון בנ"ל ואישור האסיפה.
- הצגת דוח ועדת הביקורת ואישורו.
- אישור רו"ח אלן יריחובר לשנת 2018.
- בחירת הוועד וועדת ביקורת.
החברים בועדת האיתור, פנחס שיפמן, ציפי בנמלך, סטיב זרובניק וניסים אביצור, החליטו להמליץ לאסיפת החברים לבחור הרכב חדש לועד כדלקמן: ציפי בנמלך, דבורה פרייסבלום, מיכאל גיליס, דוד אוליבסטון, דוד ודלר, שמחה אדל, יעל (גדעון) להמן, עזריה ריין, נועם קום, יונתן פורת ואלכס פומסון. חמישה חברים חדשים יחליפו את חמשת החברים הותיקים ביותר בועד. מוצע שתהיה חפיפה של ארבעה חדשים בין הועד הקיים והועד הנכנס
- דיון על פתיחת חלון מזרחי לדלת ופיתוח סביבתי.
- 1 יציאת חרום. למקרה אסון, שלא יקרה, של רעידת אדמה או שריפה או מתקפת טרור, יש לאפשר פינוי מהיר של המתפללים מבית הכנסת. בערבי שבתות וחגים, נמצאים בבית הכנסת למעלה ממאה וחמישים מתפללים וברור כי אי אפשר להסתמך על שתי היציאות בכיוון מערב. לכן התאמצנו וקיבלנו אישור לפתוח פתח מילוט בכיוון מזרח במקום החלון שקיים היום. עצם היציאה לחצר המזרחית מאפשרת בריחה מבית הכנסת המסוכן ונשתדל ליישם פתח מילוט מהחצר עצמה אל חצרות סמוכים ומשם אל הרחוב.
2 פיתוח סביבתי. כיום השטח הסמוך לבית הכנסת מצד מזרח מכיל פסולת עלים וענפים וכן גרוטאות צעצועים, קופסאות ומשכן ארנבות ישן, אכזבה עמוקה לכל המסתכל החוצה מתוך בית הכנסת. לכן הוחלט לשקם את המקום ע"י הצבת משטח עץ (דק), שיאפשר יציאה נוחה מבית הכנסת אל החצר גם בשעת חרום. מאחר ששטח זה משותף לכל דירות הבית, ארבע עשרה במספר,הרי שנוכל גם "לשוח בשדה" בשבתות ובחגים.
3 גן ילדים. במקום פועל גן, עד גיל שלש, במשך ימות השבוע כך שגם הוא יוכל להנות מפירות הפתוח הסביבתי, בעוד שבשבתות, כשהוא סגור, נוכל אנו להנות מהמקום.
4 איסור בניה. בעבר השתלטו השכנים על חלק מהחצר להקמת חדר אוכל ומחסן לשימוש בית הכנסת בעש"ט, למרות צו ההריסה, וכן הוקם אולם אירועים ע"י בית הכנסת קול שדי. אנו מקוים שפתיחת הדלת תסייע לנו למנוע, בזמן אמת, המשך של הקמת מבנים לא חוקיים בחצר המשותפת.
- דיון בהצעה לאחר את תפילת שחרית בשבת לשעה 8:30 והצעות אחרות. יהיו שני מיתדיינים.

General Meeting: Bet Knesset Emek Refaim
The Annual General Meeting of our shul will take place on Saturday night, Parshat Shelah Lecha, June 9, 2018 following ma’ariv at 8:26 pm. It is very important that all members of the community participate in the meeting. Please see financial statements for 2017.
Agenda:
1. Election of Chairman and Secretary of the meeting.
2. Review of the activities of the past year and presentation of the balance sheet and verbal report by the Chairman of the Board.*
3. Discussion of reports and approval of the meeting.
4. Presentation of the report of the Audit and Review Committee and its approval.
5. Approval of accountant Alan Jerichower for 2018.
6. Election of the Audit and Review Committee. The election of the new board will be postponed for another four months because a committee is being set up to identify new members who wish to join the board in place of those who have already served for a long time.
7. Discussion on the conversion of one of the eastern windows to a door, and outside landscaping.
1. Emergency Exit. In case of a disaster, may it never happen—an earthquake or fire or a terrorist attack—a rapid evacuation of the worshipers from the synagogue must be facilitated. On Shabbatot and Chagim, when over 150 worshipers are in the synagogue, it is clear that it is impossible to rely on the two exits to the west. Therefore, we applied for and received a permit to open an escape route to the east, replacing one of the existing windows. The very act of going out to the eastern courtyard will allow us to escape from any danger in the synagogue, and we are trying to implement an escape route from the courtyard itself to nearby courtyards and from there to the street.
2. Landscaping. Today, the area adjacent to the synagogue on the east side contains leaf and branch debris, as well as discarded toys, boxes, and an old rabbit house, a depressing sight to anyone looking out from the synagogue. Therefore, it was decided to renovate the site by installing a deck that will allow an easy exit from the synagogue to the courtyard, even in an emergency. This area is shared by all the occupants of the buildings around it—fourteen units—and we, too, will be able to enjoy it on Shabbatot and Chagim.
3. The Daycare Center. A daycare center operates in this area during the week, with children up to the age of three, so that they will also be able to enjoy the renovated area, while on Shabbat, when it is closed, we can enjoy the place.
4. Prohibition on Construction. In the past, our neighbors have taken control of part of the courtyard to build a dining hall and storage room for the use of the Chasidic synagogue (“Besht”), despite the issuance of a demolition order. We hope that opening this door will help us prevent, in real time, the continuation of the construction of illegal structures in the common yard.
8. Discussion of a suggestion to move the time of shacharit on Shabbat morning to 8:30am and other ideas. There will be two presenters.
9. General discussion.
*The balance sheet, verbal report and report of the Audit Committee will be conveyed to members of the community through the shul website and on the notice board.
