שבת פרשת תרומה – זכור
- פרשת זכור תִּקָרֵא שנית אחרי שני המניינים בשעה 8.45 ו-10.45 בערך. (פסק הרב כי בשעת הצורך ניתן לצאת ידי חובה בקריאת פרשת כי תצא בקיץ ובדרכים נוספות.)

מתנות לאביונים
- ניתן לתרום למתנות לאביונים דרך קרן הצדקה. אפשר לתרום דרך האתר. יש לציין שהתרומה היא למתנות לאביונים. תרומות שתתקבלנה עד סוף יום שני י' באדר – 22/2/21 תחולקנה לנזקקים ביום שישי לקיים את מצוות מתנות לאביונים בזמנה.
- משלוח מנות: אפשר להביא עודפי משלוח מנות לבית הכנסת עד השעה 13:00 ביום א' ט"ז באדר – 28/2/21 ויחולקו לנזקקים כדי לשׂמחם בחג.
מכתב מהרב
לכל חברי הקהילה שלום.
שנה מורכבת עוברת על כולנו וגעגוע של איש לרעהו ואישה לרעותה. נתפלל שנזכה בקרוב לחיבור ממשי וקרוב, לתפילות משותפות, וּללימוד לא דיגיטלי.
מקווה שכולנו בטוב ב״ה, מתמודדים ומנצחים. זכינו לחיות בדור שיש בו את החכמה והגבורה ליצור חיסונים פיסיים, כלכליים ונפשיים.
לקראת חודש אדר הנה כמה הלכות בקצרה:
שבת זכור
- יוצאים ידי חובה בכל זמן שהוא בשנה בקריאת זכור, לאו דווקא בשבת זכור. לכן, אפשר בפרשת כי תצא(שם נמצאת פרשת זכור), או ברגע שנחזור להתפלל בבית הכנסת. בכל אופן, לדעת פוסקים רבים, אפשר לקרואביחיד ומחומש, ולכן ראוי שכל אחד יקרא בחומש בשבת זכור עצמה, ונקרא ב״ה בבית הכנסת לכולם בפרשת כי תצא(בתקווה לגאולה מן הקורונה עד אז).
פרשת פרה
- אין השלמה. לרוב הדֵעות זו מצווה מדרבנן, ובמצב הנוכחי פטורים ממנה אלה שלא באים למנין.
מצוות חג הפורים
- השנה פורים משולש, שישי-שבת-ראשון. אין אומרים תחנון בכל הימים. קריאת המגילה תהיה בי״ד באדר (יום חמישי בערב), לאחר התענית ובבוקר (של יום שישי). בקריאת מגילה יוצאים ידי חובה בזוּם (קריאת המגילה תועבר בזוּם מבית הכנסת), או בכל שידור ישיר אחר, בדיעבד.
- מתנות לאביונים (יום שישי) אפשר לקיים דרך קרן הצדקה של בית הכנסת באתר האינטרנט שלנו.
- רק בשבת אומרים "על הניסים" בתפילה וּבברכת המזון. וקריאת התורה והפטרה של פורים.
- ביום ראשון משלוח מנות וסעודת פורים. אפשר לעשות משלוח מנות דרך הזמנת שליחות, לפחות לאדם אחד. יוצאים ידי חובה גם בהזמנת אורחים שאינם מאלו הגרים בבית לסעודת פורים.

- Parshat Zachor will be read a second time following both minyanim at approximately 8:45am and 10:45am. (The Rav ruled that you can fulfill the obligation even with the reading of Ki Tetzei in the summer and by other means.)

Matanot L'Evyonim
- You can make a donation for Matanot L'Evyonim through the Keren Tzedakah here. Please indicate that the donation is for Matanot L'Evyonim. Donations received by Monday 10 Adar – 22.2.21 will be distributed on Friday in order to fulfill the mitzvah at the correct time.
- Mishloach Manot: excess Mishloachei Manot can be brought to the Beit Knesset on Sunday 16 Adar – 28/2/21 by 1:00pm to be distributed to those in need to bring them special joy on Purim.

Shalom,
We have been through a complex year and we all miss each other. I hope we will soon be able to be together in person, to pray and learn together, and not just online.
I hope that we are, one and all, coping and getting through this time well.
We are privileged to live in a generation that has the wisdom and courage to create protective vaccines, economic support, and emotional support.
As we begin the month of Adar, here are some halachot in brief.
Shabbat Zachor
- One fulfills one’s duty to read Parshat Zachor at any time of the year. For example, it can be heard in Parshat Ki Tetzei (its actual place in the Torah), or as soon as we all return to pray in shul. In any event, according to many poskim, one may read it by oneself and from a Chumash. Hence, it is appropriate for each one of us to recite Parshat Zachor on Shabbat Zachor itself. Let us hope that the COVID-19 situation will have improved sufficiently for us all to hear it in synagogue in Parshat Ki Tetzei.
Parashat Parah
- Most are of the opinion that the reading of Parshat Parah on Shabbat is a Rabbinic mitzvah. In the current situation, those who are not coming to the minyan are exempt.
Mitzvot of Purim
- This year Purim is spread over three days: Friday, Shabbat and Sunday, the 14th, 15th, and 16th of Adar. We do not say tahanun on any of these days. Megillah reading will be on the evening of the 14th of Adar, namely on Thursday night after the end of the Fast of Esther, and on Friday morning. The obligation to read the Megillah is fulfilled by following a live reading on Zoom, as will be broadcast via Zoom from Yael shul. This is a good option for those who cannot attend in person.
- Gifts for the needy can be donated through the Tzedakah Fund on the shul website here. Mark your donation ‘matanot l'evyonim’ so they will be donated on the actual Friday of Purim.
- The Al Hanisim prayer is only said on Shabbat, both in tefillah and Birkat HaMazon. The Shabbat Torah reading and haftarah are special for Purim.
- Sunday will be Mishloach Manot and Purim Seudah. You can use a shaliach or a delivery service for mishloach manot (gifts). One should give to at least one person. One could even fulfill the mitzvah of mishloach manot by inviting someone from outside one’s home to the Purim seudah.
