בשנה הקודמת תרמו חברי הקהילה ₪50,000 לרכישת כרטיסי קניה ברשת רמי לוי שיווק השיקמה לחלוקה לנצרכים בדרום העיר. נבקשכם גם השנה להיחלץ ולתרום ביד רחבה למען עניי עירנו.הסכום מחולק בעיקרו דרך לִשׁכות הרווחה והמקלט לנשים מוכות. כיום יש לקרן הצדקה קשר מתמיד עם הלשכות שבדרום ירושלים: קטמון דרום, ארמון הנציב, גילֹה, חומת שמואל, גונן, בקעהתלפיות. לאחרונה גם נוספה תחנת "שיקום".

כבר בימים אלו מכינות הלשכות את רשימות המשפחות הנזקקות, בדרך כלל מרמות א' ו-ב', לקבלת קִמחא דפִיסחא, בהתאם לסכומים שייתרמו מהמקורות השונים. הכוונה להתחיל לחלקם, החל בראש חודש ניסן, שבועיים לפני החג, כי בשבוע האחרון יוצאות העובדות הסוציאליות לחופשה, שהרי הילדים בבית. לפיכך אנא הקדימו תרומותיכם למען מטרה חשובה זו.

התרומות מתבצעות באמצעות העברה לחשבון קרן צדקה, 659307 בבנק הפועלים סניף 748. ניתן גם לשׂים את התרומה בתיבת הדואר שבכניסה לעזרת הגברים. יש לציין על המעטפה: "קרן הצדקה קמחא דפיסחא". לצערנו אי אפשר לתרום, באופן זמני, באמצעות כרטיס אשראי.

יהי רצון שנסב כולנו עם משפחותינו לסדר כהלכתו וגם הנזקקים יזכו לכך בעזרת תרומותיכם.

Kimcha D'Pischa – Pesach 5782

Last year members of the community donated ₪50,000 for the purchase of vouchers at Rami Levy for distribution to the needy in the South of the city. We ask you again this year to come out and contribute generously for the poor of our city.

The funds are distributed mainly through the welfare offices and the women’s shelter. Today, the fund is in constant contact with the welfare bureaus in southern Jerusalem: Katamon South, Armon Hanatziv, Gilo, Homat Shmuel, Gonen, Baka Talpiot. Recently we added the rehabilitation center for the handicapped.

The bureaus are already preparing the lists of needy families, to receive Kimcha Depischa. We intend to begin distribution from Rosh Chodesh Nissan. 

Please donate to this important cause.

The donations can be made by transfer to the Keren Tzedakah account 659307 at Bank Hapoalim Branch 748, noting that the money is for Kimcha Depischa. You can also put the donation in the mailbox at the entrance to the men's section. Please mark the envelope: "Kimcha Depischa Fund". Unfortunately, because of a temporary problem, it is not possible to donate using a credit card.

חברנו טְרֶבוֹר אַסֶרְסוֹן נמצא אתמול (13.3) מאומת כחוֹלה קוֹרוֹנה. טרבור התפלל בבית הכנסת בליל שבת (ויקרא), שבת בבוקר ובמנין הראשון בבוקר. הוא יושב בצד שׂמאל של בית הכנסת בצד הימני של השורה השלישית.

מחוסנים מעל גיל 60 שהיו בקרבת 2 מטר ממנו במשך יותר מ15 דקות חייבים לעשות בדיקת PCR.. אלה שמחוסנים ומתחת לגיל 60 יכולים להסתפק בבדיקת אנטיג'ן מהירה ביתית. אם הבדיקה שלילית אין חובת בידוד למחוסנים ולמחלימים.

Confirmed COVID Case in Beit Haknesset

Our member Trevor Asserson yesterday (13.3) tested positive for Corona. He attended shul on Friday night and the first minyan on Shabbat morning. He sits on the left at the right hand end of the third row.

Those over 60 who are vaccinated and who were in close contact with him (i.e. within 2 metres for over 15 minutes) must take a PCR test. Those under 60 and who are vaccinated can take a home rapid antigen test. If the test is negative there is no quarantine requirement for those who are vaccinated or recovered.

מגילת אסתר: בליל פורים, 17 במרץ, בשעה 18:10 תתקיימנה תפילת ערבית וּקריאת מגילה בביה״כ וגם תישדרנה בזוּם. השידור מיועד לכל מי שלא יכול או חושש להגיע לבית הכנסת בתקופה זו. הקישור יפורסם כאן בהמשך. בבוקר של יום שישי 18 במרץ, תפילת שחרית וּקריאת מגילה תתקיימנה ב-7:30 בקישור הרגיל של מניין הזוּם.

ענייני דיומא: אחרי קריאת המגיליה בליל פורים יישׂא דניאל טאוב דברים בענייני דיומא.

קריאת מגילה שנייה בליל פורים: בימים אלה של קורונה, אין אפשרות להכניס לתוך בית הכנסת יותר מ-120 אנשים. תהיה קריאת מגילה נוספת בשעה 19.45 עבור מי שמעדיף לא להיות בבית כנסת צפוף.

שחרית: יתקיימו שני מניינים לשחרית וקריאת מגילה בשעות הרגילות: 6:00 ו- 7:45.

קריאת מגילה לנשׁים ע״י נשים: תתקיים בשעה 9.30 בבוקר של פורים בבית הכנסת. הקריאה גם תשודר בזוּם עבור נשׁים שאינן יכולות או שחוששות להגיע לביה״כ. הקישור יפורסם כאן בהמשך.

מנחה גדולה: ביום פורים יתקיים מניין למנחה גדולה בשעה 12.30

עודפי משלוח מנות: שׂשׂון צַ'קוטאי יאסוף עודפי משלוחי מנות לטובת ילדים השוהים במקלט נשׁים. החל מיום ד׳ 16.3 ובמשך כל ימי פורים יהיו בבית הכנסת ארגזים המיועדים לאיסוף משלוחי מנות או כל מוצר מזון שחברי הקהילה ירצו להעביר למקלט. כמו כן ניתן למסור את המוצרים בביתו של שׂשׂון ,רחוב יפתח 8 דירה 1, 052-287-1162.

Megillat Esther: On Purim evening, March 17, Arvit and Kriat Megillah begin at 6:10pm at the Beit Knesset, and will also be broadcast on Zoom for those concerned about attending shul. The link will be shared here. On the morning of Purim, Friday March 18, Shacharit and Kriat Megillah will be available on the regular Zoom morning minyan at 7:30am, in an upcoming link.

Affairs of the day: Following Megillah reading on the night of Purim, Daniel Taub will address us with some relevant thoughts on the occasion.

Second Megillah Reading on Purim night: In these challenging days of Covid, we cannot allow more than 120 people inside. There will be a 2nd megillah reading at 7:45pm for those who would prefer to avoid a more crowded shul.

Shacharit: – There will be two minyanim for shacharit and megillah-reading at the usual times of 6:00 and 7:45am.

Women’s Megillah Reading: will take place at 9:30am on Purim day, in the shul and also will be broadcast on Zoom for those concerned about attending in person. The Zoom link will be shared.

Mincha Gedolah: On Purim there will be a minyan for minchah gedolah at 12.30.

Donating excess Mishloach Manot: Sasson Chacoty will collect unused mishloach manot and any food items to be distributed to children in the Women’s Shelter. Sasson will place boxes for food collection in the shul starting Wednesday, March 13. Food may also be dropped off at Sasson’s home, Yiftach 8, Apt. 1, 052-287-1162.

Clothing Drive for Ukrainian Refugees Arriving in Israel

Our member Sally-Anne Thwaites is helping this drive. She will accepts items at her home at 8 Mordechai HaYehudi Street, Apt. 3. (054-833-1989) and will drive them over to the Nefesh B'Nefesh collection point:

Saturday night March 6 until 10:30pm or Sunday March 7 until 2:00pm.
