שלום לכל חברי קהילת בית הכנסת עמק רפאים!
אני פונה אליכם כדי לעזור לנו לחולל כמה שינויים חיוניים בקהילה שלנו.
ועדת החסד הינה חלק חשוב מקהילתנו.
תפקידָה העיקרי של ועדת החסד הינו עזרה לחברי הקהילה במקרה של אובדן יקיר במשפחה. העזרה כוללת מודעות אבל, נר לשבוע האבל, כסאות לאבלים ולמנחמים, סידורים, ספר תורה, תיאום ארוחות ועוד. חברים שהוועדה עזרה להם הביעו הערכה רבה למה שהם קיבלו בשעתם הקשה.
כיום הוועדה מונה 5 חברים אך יש צורך במתנדבים נוספים לכל הפעילויות, כולל הרעיונות הבאים:
ביקור חולים
- הוועדה זקוקה למתנדב ומתנדבת שירכזו את כל המידע על חברי קהילה חולים או מחלימים הנמצאים בבית או בבתי חולים/מוסדות החלמה (המידע יפורסם באתר ביהכ"ן רק באישור הנוגעים בדבר). מידע זה יאפשר לחברי הקהילה לקיים מצוות ביקור חולים ולעזור לחולים ולמחלימים.
הכנסת אורחים
- הוועדה זקוקה ל -2 מתנדבים שירכזו את נושא הכנסת האורחים לפעילות הבאה:
- בית הכנסת שלנו מושך אורחים, כולל רווקים, תיירים, שכנים חדשים וקבוצות המבקשות להתארח אצלנו. אנו מציעים שמתנדבים יכינו רשימה של חברים המוכנים לארח (אפילו בהתראה של רגע אחרון) וישדכו בין המבקשים להתארח והחברים ברשימה.
- הוועדה גם תציע פלטפורמה לאפשר ליחידים וזוגות בודדים הרוצים בכך, למצוא אנשים אחרים בקהילה המעונינים לאכול ביחד לעשות זאת.

Shalom Ḥaverim!
I am turning to you to help make a difference in our community.
The Ḥesed Committee has become a critical part of the life cycle of our community. Here are some ways it can have an even greater impact on the nature of our shul going forward.
The primary role of the Ḥesed Committee has been giving support to shul members in the unfortunate circumstance of shiva for a family member. Recipients have expressed great appreciation for our communal embrace in difficult times.
We help with everything needed during shiva, including "evel" notices, candles, chairs, siddurim, sifrei Torah, meals and much more.
Today we number five people, but we need more to continue this activity and expand it to include other ḥesed activities. Please help us in this important work.
We want to add the following activities:
Bikur Ḥolim:
- It is critical to coordinate information about people in the kehillah who are sick or recovering – to allow members and others to visit, call, offer help, etc. (No information will be shared without permission of those who are sick.) We need one man and one woman to take responsibility for this.
Hachnasat Orḥim:
- We need two people to manage and to coordinate a list of members willing to accept guests on a rotating basis and manage information for shared meals.
- Our shul attracts many guests: singles, tourists or new neighbors, as well as occasional groups looking to be hosted. We want to reach out to them, even at the last minute.
- The committee will also facilitate singles and “empty nesters” to find other individuals or couples to share meals with on Shabbatot and ḥagim.
