יום השלושים לאירוע שמחת תורה ולמלחמה

יום א' הקרוב, כ״א במרחשוון, הוא יום השלושים לאירועי שמחת תורה ופתיחת המלחמה.

בשחרית שביום ראשון בשני המניינים נֹאמר ״א-ל מלא רחמים״ לזכר הנרצחים והנופלים, נאמר תפילה לחיילי צה"ל והתפילה לשלום השבויים והחטופים. בתהילים בסוף התפילה נוסיף שיר המעלות ממעמקים. כל הקהילה מוזמן לבוא לתפילות בשעה 6.00 ובשעה 6.45.

This Sunday marks the shloshim since the events of Simḥat Torah and the beginning of the war. On Sunday at Shaḥarit of both minyanim we will recite “El Maleh Rachamim” for the murdered and the fallen, prayers for the armed forces and for those seized and kidnapped in Gaza. We will add to the Tehillim at the end of shaḥarit. All are invited to attend either at 6:00am or at 7:45am.

• השיעורים של הרב וילק יתקיימו בשבת בבֹּקר אך לא בין מנחה למעריב אחה״צ.
• תהילים: בשבת זו, פרשת וירא, בשעה 16:00 יתקיימו לימוד ואמירת תהילים לנשים בבית המדרש. פרל בורו תתן שיעור קצר ולאחר מכן אמירת תהילים לחזרתם בשלום של חיילינו, הפצועים, והשבויים. חשוב: אנא הביאו עמכם ספר תהילים.
• בקשה לשמירה על בריאות הציבור: מתפללים ומתפללות שנמצאו חיוביים לקורונה מתבקשים לא להגיע לבית הכנסת. בקשה זו חשובה מיוחד בחגים כאשר בית הכנסת והחצרות צפופים. אלה שיש להם סימפטומים כגון שיעול מתבקשים לחבוש מסכות.

• We are updating our membership directory and may contact you by email in the coming weeks if you have not already completed the membership form.

• Kiddushim scheduled for the coming weeks are postponed until further notice.
• Rav Vilk’s shiurim will take place this Shabbat morning — but not in the afternoon between minḥa and ma'ariv.
• The women’s Learning and Tehillim will continue this Shabbat “Vayera” in the small beit midrash. Because of the time change we will begin at 4:00pm. Pearl Borow will give a short shiur followed by the recitation of tehillim for the safe return of our soldiers, the captives, and all who have been injured. Please bring a Sefer Tehillim with you.
• Security: On Shabbat there will be armed members at all services. In addition, members licensed to carry a weapon are asked to come armed to Beit Knesset. Please see important updates here.
• COVID: to protect the health of the community those who have tested positive for COVID are asked to not attend beit knesset. Those with symptoms such as a cough are asked to wear a mask.
