התנדבות בקטיף בדרום

שלום לכולם,

יש הזדמנות להתנדב בקטיף במושב עין הבשׂור ביום שני 8 בינואר, במשק קורין, שהוא משק משפחתי שמגדל עגבניות שרי, מלפפונים, אוכמניות וסברס.

עבודת המתנדבים נותנת אוויר לנשימה בימים אלה ומביאה תקווה לעתיד החקלאות של עוטף עזה. העבודה היא סביב העגבניות והמלפפונים כרגע (לפי עונה) ומתקיימת בתוך חממות: גיזום/ קטיף/ שתילה.

מומלץ להביא: כובע, מים, בגדים ארוכים (במידה ויש רגישות לצמחים) ומזמרה למי שיש. העבודה היא בחממות וללא מרחב מוגן באזור.

לוח זמנים:

  • כ״ז טבת 8.1.24 יציאה בשעה 7:00
  • העבודה בחקלאות עד שעה 14:00
  • חזרה משוערת לירושלים 17:00

ההשתתפות בעלות 50% ממחיר ההסעה. המחיר הסופי ייקבע לפי מספר המשתתפים. היציאה מותנית במינימום מספר משתתפים.

Hello everyone,

There is an opportunity to volunteer harvesting in Moshav Ein HaBesor on Monday, January 8, at the Korin farm, a family farm that grows cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, blueberries and sabras.

The volunteer work provides some breathing space during these days and brings hope for the future of agriculture in the Gaza Envelope. The work involves tomatoes and cucumbers at the moment (according to the season) and takes place in greenhouses: pruning / picking / planting.

It is recommended to bring: a hat, water, long clothes (if there is sensitivity to plants) and gardening shears for those who have them. The work is in greenhouses and without a protected space in the area.

Monday, January 8, 2024 schedule:

  • Departure at 7:00
  • The work in agriculture until 14:00
  • Estimated return to Jerusalem: 17:00

Participation is 50% of the transporation cost. The final price will be determined according to the number of participants. Departure is subject to a minimum number of participants.

שבתון קהילה בבית שׁאן – 29-30/3/2024

 

את שבתון הקהילה נעשׂה השנה בשישי-שבת "צו", 30-29 במרץ, בבית שאן, שלאורך אלפי שנים היתה עיר מרכזית בארץ ישראל.

בסיורנו ביום שישי בגן הלאומי, נהלך לאורך רחובות בית שאן הקדומה – בהם יהודים ונוכרים נפגשו, התנגשו והתחברו. נבקר בתאטרון הרומי המרשים וגם באמפיתאטרון, ונעמוד על ההבדל בניהם, ומה חשבו עליהם חכמינו. "נִטבּוֹל" בבית המרחץ יחד עם רבן גמליאל ופסל אפרודיטי. ברחבת השוק, נגלה מה הקשר בין קניות ופריצות. נהלך על ריצוף הרחוב המקורי בינות לעמודי המפולת המרשימים. מדריכנו באתר יהיה ערן מאיר, שהוא מורה דרך וארכיאולוג ידוע.

לאחר כל זאת, נבלה שבת נינוחה יחד באכסניית בית שאן היפה – נהנה מארוחות שבת, משיעורים מעניינים, ומתפילות מעוררות השראה. בשבת, בשעה 15:30, נערוך סיור מודרך באתרים החשובים והמעניינים בעיר.

מחיר השבתון ("הכל כלול") הוא 1,500₪ לזוג או 1,000₪ ליחיד. יש להעביר את התשלום עבור השבתון לא יאוחר מיום 1/2/2024, על-מנת לשמור את החדרים באכסניה.

Shabbaton Kehilla in Beit She’an – March 29-30, 2024

This year’s Shabbaton Kehilla will be on Friday-Shabbat “Tzav”, March 29-30, in Beit She’an, which for thousands of years was an important city in Eretz Yisrael.

On our Friday tour of Beit She’an National Park, we will walk along ancient Beit She’an’s streets – on which Jews and non-Jews met, clashed and connected. We will visit the impressive Roman theatre, and the amphitheater as well, and note the differences between them, and what our sages thought about them. We’ll take a dip in the wash house together with Rabban Gamliel and Aphrodite’s statue. In the Shuk plaza, we will discover the connection between consumerism and promiscuity. We’ll tread on the streets’ original floor-tiles between the impressive earthquake columns.

Our guide in the park will be Eran Meir, a reknowned tour-guide and archeologist.

After Friday’s sightseeing, we’ll spend a relaxing Shabbat together in the attractive Beit She’an Hostel – where we will enjoy Shabbat meals together, interesting classes, and inspiring tefillot. At 3:30pm on Shabbat afternoon, we’ll take a walk through Beit She’an’s more important and interesting sites.

The price of the Shabbaton (all included) is 1,500 NIS for a couple, or 1,000 NIS for single accommodation. Payment needs be made by February 1, so as to secure the rooms in the hostel.

סופגניות ולביבות – ערב מבשלים יחד בחנוכה עם מפוני שׂדרות

במסגרת אימוץ של ביהכ״נ את קהילת המפונים משׂדרות שמתגוררים במלון קיסר, התגבש רעיון יפה לאירוח ובישול משותף בבתי חברי הקהילה בקבוצות של בין 4 – 10 איש בכל בית.

  • המפגש יתרחש במטבח בבית המארחים בבישול משותף ולאחר מכן בארוחה משותפת.
  • הבישול יהיה בעיקר של המפונים שיבנו תפריט – יתנו רשימת קניות כאשר המארחים יקנו את המצרכים.
  • האורחים, המתגעגעים לבישול במטבח ביתי אחרי חודשיים וחצי בבית מלון, יגיעו לבשל ולאחר מכן ישבו לאכול יחד עם המארחים.
  • מתאים לכם לארח בביתכם במהלך חג החנוכה?
  • מוזמנים להירשם בטבלה כאן. הפרטים של האורחים ורשימת המצרכים לבישול יירשמו על יד הרכזת במלון קיסר.
  • שתי הערות חשובות:
    • חשוב שהמשפחה המארחת אמורה תוכל לתקשר עם האורחים בעברית.

Latkes – Sufagniot – Sfenj – Cooking together on Hanukkah with Evacuees from Sderot

One initative resulting from the adoption by our community of the Sederot evacuees living in the Caesar Hotel is to hold an evening of Hanukkah cooking and hospitality in our homes with between 4 and 10 guests in each home.

  • The gathering will begin in the kitchen followed by a shared meal.
  • Most of the food-preparation will be undertaken by the guests, who will prepare a menu. They will send a list of ingredients, which the host will buy in advance.
  • The guests, who after two-and-a-half months in the hotel cannot wait to cook in a home kitchen, will prepare the food and then join the hosts to eat together.
  • If you would like to host a group, please register using the table here – details of the guests and ingredients will be filled by the coordinator at the Caesar Hotel.
  • Two important points:
  •    It is important that the hosts be able to communicate in Hebrew with their guests.
  •    It is possible that there will be fewer guests than volunteer homes. We apologize in advance.
