We are sad to announce the passing on Shabbat of our member

Betsy (Batya Malka) Kaplan

The funeral took place on Sunday morning.

Betsy's daughters, Rachel Cohen (Efrat), Elana Azran (Jerusalem) and Theresa Levine (Atlanta USA) are sitting shiva until Friday at Betsy’s home in Baka, Matityahu 1 / Derech Bet Lechem 54 – next to Beit Moses.

Due to the Health Ministry's Covid-19 rules, shiva visits must be arranged in advance. To arrange a visit, please call Kenny Cohen at 052-386-3986.

May Betsy's memory be for a blessing.

• Mazal tov to Avi Isaacs, on the birth of a great grandson to Lielle and Hod Alpert. Grandparents are Dina and Shmulik Genzel. Avi was sandak to Eytan Yisrael.
• Mazal tov to Fabia and Stephen Shaw and to Batsheva and Gad Rothschild on the birth of a granddaughter, the third daughter born in Jerusalem to Aaron and Sarah Shaw.
• The restriction limiting the number of congregants in the Beit Knesset to 20 remains in force. We will return to davening outside in the חצר. Those wishing to attend for shacharit during the week, Friday night and/or Shabbat morning are asked to register in advance using the table that can be found here.

עקב הנחיות משרד הבריאות מספר המתפללים המותר הוא 20 בלבד. חברי הקהילה מתבקשים להירשם מראש להשתתף בתפילות בשבת ובימות חול. הרשימה לשחרית בשבת הקרובה, פרשת פנחס, מלאה. עם כל הצער שבדבר, על כל מי שלא נרשם להצטרף למניין במקום אחר או להתפלל בבית. כולנו מקווים לראות ימים טובים יותר בהם נוכל להתפלל ברוב עם.

• The list to attend the Beit Knesset for this Shabbat is FULL.

In accordance with the new requirements of the Ministry of Health, attendance in the Beit Knesset is limited to 20 people. Members wishing to attend tefillot and shabbatot must register in advance. The list for this Shabbat  morning  – Parshat Pinchas – is FULL. Regretfully those who did not register are asked to join minyanim elsewhere or to daven at home. We all look forward to better days when we can again all daven together as a community.
