  • ביום ו׳ 16/12/22 בבוקר תתקיים אזכרה לגדעון להמן ז״ל. ראו פרטים פה.
  • אנא התגייסו להכנת 2 ארוחות למרכז החיילים הבודדים בשבת פרשת וישב /שבת מברכים 16/12/22. חיילים בודדים אלו באים מכל קצוות תבל , עוזבים את בתיהם על מנת להתגייס לצה"ל. בתוכם נמצאים גם  כ-30% ישראלים שהוריהם מתנגדים לשירותם הצבאי. כל אחד שמעוניין לקחת חלק במפעל חשוב זה יכול  להירשם פה. ניתן להביא את האוכל לרחוב בית הערבה 9 ביום שישי בין 9:00 ל-12:00. במקרה ואתם נתקלים בקשיים להביא את האוכל, היו איתי בקשר ב- shmuelgoldin@gmail.com. תזכו למצוות ותודה מרֹאשׁ.ברברה גולדין 
  • בשבת מברכים טבת (פרשת וישב) ובשבת מברכים שבט (פרשת וארא) נכבד בקידוש את החברים והחברות שהגיעו ל 80 בשנתיים של קורונה. הוועד יצר קשר עם החברים והחברות לפי הרשימות הקיימות. אם לא יצרנו קשר עם מישהו או מישהי שהגיעו לגבורות בשנתיים האחרונות, בבקשה ליצור קשר עם מיכאל גיליס.
  • כנראה אנחנו בפתח של גל חדש של קורונה. חברים עם תסמינים (שיעול, חום וכו׳) – גם אם טרם נמצאו חיוביים לוירוס – מתבקשים לשקול שלא להגיע לבית הכנסת.
  • קורונה – דלתות פתוחות: הקורונה עדין אתנו. אחרי התייעצות רפואית הוועד החליט שבזמן התפילות הדלתות תשארנה פתוחות. החורף מתקרב ויהיו ימים שהקור מציק לנו. מתוך דאגה לבריאות הציבור גם בימים קרים יש להקפיד להשאיר את הדלתות פתוחות.

    • There will be an אזכרה at the end of the שלושים for Gidon Lehman  ז״ל on Friday morning, December 16. See details here.
    • Anyone who would like to help provide 2 meals for the local Lone Soldier Center for the Shabbat of December 16-17, please click here. These wonderful young men and women from all over the world leave the safety and security of their homes to join the IDF. 30% are young people from within Israel whose parents don’t want them in the army, and are also considered “lone soldiers”. The food should be brought to 9 Bet HaArava St. on Friday morning, Dec. 16, between 9am and 12noon. If you are unable to deliver the food, contact me at shmuelgoldin@gmail.com.     •  On Shabbat Mevarchim Tevet (Parshat Vayeshev) and Shabbat Mevarchim  Shevat (Parshat VaEra), members who turned 80 during the two years of Corona will be honored with a kiddush. Contact was made with these members using our existing lists; if there is anyone we failed to reach, please be in touch with Michael Gillis.
    • As we seem to be entering another wave of COVID-19,  we ask that anyone with symptoms (cough, fever etc.) – even if they have not yet tested positive – consider not attending the Beit Knesset.
    • Corona – Open Doors Policy: COVID-19 is still with us. Following professional consultation, the va’ad has decided that during tefillot the doors must remain open. The winter months are approaching and there will be days when we will feel the cold. Because of health concerns the doors should be kept open even on cold days.

at 3:00 pm today, Thursday, December 8, 14 Kislev 5783.

Shiva will be observed at the Gordis home at

  • משפחת לְהמן מבקשת להודות לקהילה היקרה על כל הנתינה והסיוע בעת השבעה על גדעון ז"ל. מעריכים ומוקירים מאוד.
  • מאת ראש הועד – האספה של העמותה של בית הכנסת שהתקיימה במוצאי שבת לפני שבוע לא הצליחה לבחור ועד חדש. המשמעות היא שהועד הקיים ממשיך לתקופת מעבר עד לבחירתו של ועד חדש באסיפה נוספת.
    בנימה אישית אני מבקש להוסיף שלאחרונה התפרצו מחלוקות ואירועים לא נעימים שאינם אופייניים לקהילה שלנו. על כולנו לעשׂות כמיטב יכולתנו להחזיר את השלום וּלהשתדל להימנע מכל מעשׂה או דיבור שיכול שישפיע בכיוון ההפוך. איננו צריכים להסכים אחד עם השני, אבל חובה להשתדל לנהל את חילוקי הדעות בלי לפגוע במרקם החברתי של הקהילה. חודש טוב ושבת שלום לכולם. – מיכאל גיליס

  • The Lehman family thanks our kehilla for all the support and help during the recent shiva for Gideon ז״ל. It was greatly appreciated.
  • From the chairman of the Va’ad: The general meeting of the Amuta of the Beit Knesset that was held on Saturday night failed to elect a new va’ad. This means that the current va’ad continues in a caretaker capacity until a new va’ad is elected.
    On a personal note, I wish to add that lately we have experienced some arguments and unpleasant incidents uncharacteristic of our community. We must all make an effort to restore harmony and to refrain from actions and words that may have the opposite effect. We do not need to agree all the time but we do need to try to conduct our differences in a way that does not damage the social fabric of the community. מתפלל מאומת קורונה בבית הכנסת

  • חברנו מרטין וייסברג נמצא חיובי לקורונה. ביום חמישי וביום שישי התפלל בבוקר במניין השני ב-7:45. מאחלים לו רפואה שלמה.

New COVID-19 Case

  • Our member Marty Weisberg has tested positive for coronavirus. On Thursday and Friday mornings, he attended the second minyan at 7:45. We wish him a רפואה שלמה.
