Last Sunday, the fast of the 17th of Tammuz, the parochet we use each year for the Three Weeks was hung on the aron kodesh. The inscription on the parochet reads: “A gift of the Mosbach (Germany) community on the occasion of the rededication of the synagogue in the year of its renovation, 5659 (1899).” The parochet was brought from Europe by one of the early leaders of our shul, Avraham Seligman ז״ל.
