• מסכות: כעת, לפי הנחיות משׂרד הבריאות, אין חובה לעטות מסכות. בכל זאת, לאור העובדה שאצלנו יש מתפללים רבים בקבוצת סיכון מוגברת, אנחנו מבקשים לעטות מסכות בתפילות כאשר יש מתפללים רבים בבית הכנסת – בעיקר בליל שבת ובמניין השני בשבת בבוקר. נמשיך את המדיניות של דלתות וחלונות פתוחים בזמן התפילה. הוועד עוקב אחרי המצב ונמשיך לפעול לפי הוראות משרד הבריאות.
• למרות שאין הוראות חדשות מהמשטרה לגבי שמירה על בית הכנסת לאור המצב הביטחוני הנוכחי, הוועד מבקש מחברים המחזיקים נשק ברישיון להגיע חמושים לבית הכנסת.

• Masks: The Ministry of Health has ended the requirement to wear masks. Nevertheless, because we have members who are in a high risk category, we request that masks be worn when the Beit Knesset is quite full – principally on Friday nights and second minyan on Shabbat morning. We will continue to keep windows and doors open during tefillot. Anyone uncomfortable with masking is welcome to daven outdoors. The va'ad continues to monitor the situation and to keep to the instructions issued by the Ministry of Health.
• Security: No special instructions have been received from the police regarding security in the present situation. Nevertheless, the va’ad asks those licensed to carry a weapon to come armed to the Beit Knesset.

• Mazal tov to Jane and Jon Medved on the birth of a grandson – bechor to Yossi and Dasha Medved. Details to follow.
• Mazal tov to Tuvya and Chaya Klughaupt on the Bat Mitzva of their daughter, Hallel Chana. In honor of Hallel Chana’s Bat Mitzvah the Klughaupts sponsor  the Yom Yerushalayim Seudah Shlishit this Shabbat. Further details here.
• Yom Yerushalayim events: There will be a communal Seudah Shlishit in the shul courtyard in honor of Yom Yerushalayim. Mincha will be early at 6:45pm. At the end of Shabbat at 8:18pm there will be a celebratory Arvit for Yom Yerushalayim. On Sunday there will be light refreshments served after each of the Shacharit minyanim.
• Learning program in Hebrew for the eve of Shavuot. See post.

• תחילת הסדר לא לפני 19:46, האפיקומן נאכל עד 12:39
• ועד בית הכנסת החליט על נהלים חדשים בהקשר לנוכחוּת ילדים בבית הכנסת. ילדים מגיל 5 ומעלה המגיעים לבית הכנסת חייבים להיות או מחוסנים או מחלימים או אחרי בדיקה מהירה ביום שישי עם תוצאה שלילית. ילדים בכל גיל חייבים לעטות מסכה בתוך בית הכנסת. ילדים הנשארים בחצר יכולים להיות בלי מסכה. אנחנו מעריכים את שיתוף הפעולה של הורים וסבים בעניין הזה.

• Fast of the first born: there will be a siyum after each of the minyanim on Friday 15/04/2022.
• Eating hametz until 9:58am.

• Beginning of the Seder not before 7:46pm., eating afikoman before 12:39am.
• We appreciate the cooperation of parents and grandparents in this matter. Children 5 years and older must be vaccinated, or recovered from COVID, or have tested negative on a rapid (antigen) test on Friday. Children of all ages must wear a mask inside the building. Children outside do not need a mask.
