פרשת מקץ – חנוכה – שבת רֹאשׁ חֹדשׁ

  • בשבת, לאחר מניין הראשון, פאביה וסטפן שאו מזמינים את הקהילה לקידוש לכבוד יום הולדתו של סטפן.
  • לידיעתכם, אודות חברים בקהילתנו:
  • הרב וילק יתן שיעור בדף יומי ב-06:30 ויתקיים שיעור על ידו אחרי מנחה בשבת.
  • בשבת מברכים של חודש שבט (פרשת וארא) נכבד בקידוש את החברים והחברות שהגיעו ל 80 בשנתיים של קורונה. הוועד יצר קשר עם החברים והחברות לפי הרשימות הקיימות. אם לא יצרנו קשר עם מישהו או מישהי שהגיעו לגבורות בשנתיים האחרונות, בבקשה ליצור קשר עם מיכאל גיליס.
  • כנראה אנחנו בפתח של גל חדש של קורונה. חברים עם תסמינים (שיעול, חום וכו׳) – גם אם טרם נמצאו חיוביים לוירוס – מתבקשים לשקול שלא להגיע לבית הכנסת.
  • קורונה – דלתות פתוחות: הקורונה עדין אתנו. אחרי התייעצות רפואית הוועד החליט שבזמן התפילות הדלתות תשארנה פתוחות. החורף הגיע ואתו ימים קרים. אך מתוך דאגה לבריאות הציבור גם בימים קרים כאלו יש להקפיד להשאיר את הדלתות פתוחות.
  • תזכרו שתהיה מנחה גדולה בשעה 14.00 בגלל חנוכה ביום וי.
  • ראו עמוד זמני תפילה. הדלקת נרות: 16:06, הבדלה: 17:21.

  • Mazal Tov to Ido and Michal Rivlin Segal on the birth of a son. Mazal tov to grandparents Aharon and Judith Rivlin and Arie and Sara Segal.
  • There will be a kiddush this Shabbat after the first minyan, hosted by Fabia and Stephen Shaw to celebrate Stephen's birthday.
  • Rav Vilk will deliver Daf Yomi at 6:30 a.m. and his shiur after mincha.
  • On Shabbat Mevorchim Shevat (Parshat Va’era), members who turned 80 during Corona years will be honored with a kiddush. Effort was made to contact members using existing lists; if we failed to reach someone, please be in touch with Michael Gillis.
  • As we seem to be entering another wave of COVID-19, we ask that anyone with symptoms (cough, fever etc.) consider not attending Beit Knesset, even if the individual has not yet tested positive.
  • Corona – Open Doors Policy: COVID-19 is still with us. Following professional consultation, the va’ad has decided that during tefillot the doors must remain open. Winter months are upon us. Regrettably there will be days when we truly feel the cold. Yet doors must remain open.
  • A reminder that on Friday there will also be an earlier mincha at 2:00pm because of Hanukkah. (Mincha Gedola – 14:00).

Members who have not yet paid their annual fees are reminded to do so. Payments can be made through the website. The total sum due is 1000 NIS for a family and 500 NIS for an individual.

  • The Annual General Meeting of the Amuta of the Beit Knesset will now take place on Motzei Shabbat ‘Chayei Sarah’ – 25th Cheshvan/November 19 – at 7:30pm. Anyone interested in being a candidate or nominating one for the va’ad please contact Michael Gillis. See 2021 Financial Report here.
